VARSITY SOFTBALL ADVANCES IN DISTRICT PLAYOFF COMPETITION

The Lady Raiders got timely hitting and a strong performance from freshman, Kiley Jacobus in the circle this Friday evening in beating the Potomac Falls Panthers by a score of 5-1.  Jacobus went the distance for the Raiders, striking out seven and allowing 5 hits and one earned run.  Sarah Nordseth and Renay Aubel each contributed with a 2 for 3 performance.  Nordseth also drove in 2 runs and Aubel had a double and an RBI for Loudoun County.  Courtni Reitz and Katyln Packard also drove in runs for the Raiders. 

As one of four teams remaining in District Playoffs contention, the Raiders return to action on Tuesday evening when they will face the number one seeded Briar Woods Falcons at Briar Woods at 6pm.
